A touring exhibition of one of the most important representatives of contemporary art in the Central and Eastern European region was at all its sites (Budapest, Košice, Brno) at home and, at the same time, a guest; in all the sites it was a statement made from both the inside and the outside, corresponding to the transnational position of the artist. Ilona Nemeth is a Slovak artist of Hungarian nationality, whose artistic career began in Czechoslovakia, who regularly exhibits in Slovakia as well as in the Czech Republic, and who is also considered part of the Hungarian art scene.

“Môj projekt spočíva vo vytvorení hmly, ktorá by sa objavila na námestí s istou pravidelnosťou a vytvárala by stále sa meniaci objekt, ako aj udalosť- performance. Svojou dočasnou prítomnosťou by nezaťažovala námestie a vhodne by nadväzovala na tradíciu demonštrácií a akcií politického, ale aj spoločensko-zábavného charakteru, ktoré sa tu udiali.”

14 artists create 14 performances in 14 places in Košice along two routes: one in the city’s Old Town and one in the industrial Šaca district. Each piece is performed for only two spectators at a time. Performances are repeated every 10 minutes. Members of the audience move between the performances with the aid of a route description.

A dunaszerdahelyi képzőművész, Németh Ilona eredetileg az Ernst Múzeum egész terét egy nagyszabású installációvá alakította volna át. Ám az előkészületek előrehaladtával egyre kevésbé tudott azonosulni ezzel a tervvel, ezért saját koncepcióját gyökeresen megváltoztatva, egy olyan mű elkészítése mellett döntött, ami sokkal inkább reflektál a megvalósulás körülményeire, az alkotó személyes döntésének motivációira, a kulturális környezetre, mint az eredeti koncepció tartalmára.
